Come to the Winter Schmooze!

Hi friends,

Happy new year & welcome to my handy new Queer Yenta newsletter! I figured it made sense to have an email list rather than just relying on Instagram to get the word out about events and radio shows! I have two exciting updates to share:

1) When I’m not hosting Queer Yenta Radio Hour, I do a fun little show called Bucky’s Mixtape, which is really just me playing music I like and talking about random shit (often with my friend Ellen, during our “Intergenerational Dyke Friendship” chats on air). Music I like = indie, international, R&B, throw-backs, and maybe a little pop as a treat. It’s a good time, I promise! Tune in Tuesdays from 4:30-6pm on WMUA until the end of January (either on your radio dial at 91.1FM or streaming online at wmua.org). And if you’re a blues fan, tune into Ellen’s show Hot Tamale Blues beforehand on Tuesdays from 2:30-4:30pm :)

2) Save the date for the Winter Schmooze on Saturday, February 1st!! I’m super excited to be hosting another event at Dreamhouse, the cutest queer-owned spot in Great Falls! The yenta in me just wants everyone to know everyone - whether that’s romantic, platonic, what have you. We’re kicking off the evening with two rounds of speed dating followed by a laid-back queer social. Sign up for speed dating in advance, so you don’t miss out! There’s no cover or registration for the social from 8-10, so just pop on by and bring your friends! Let’s schmooze it up!
